So as a new patient when you come into our office, I feel like we have a different level as far as how you get introduced, how you become a patient in our office. When you first come in, you're gonna get a tour of the office. One of the girls is gonna take you around and show you simple things. Show you where the bathroom is, show you ... we have a microscope that we use on the hygiene side to be able to look for certain bacteria, we have the sterilization department to show that we're taking, at a very high level, making sure that we're protecting you. So we make that full tour and then we have a patient interview.
So Carol or one of the people up front will sit down with you ... one of the team members, and really interview you. Find out are you afraid? Do you have anxiety? Where are you at in your dental education even? And then they get handed off into ... with a hygiene assistant. Hygiene assistant's then gonna gather all the information that the hygienist needs, blood pressure, go over ... make sure all the health history's taken care of, get all the x-rays that are necessary, all the intraoral pictures that are necessary so we can do a real thorough exam and evaluation.
And then it's co-diagnosis with the hygienist and the ... not really co-diagnosis but at least saying ... we like to show them what we see, so with all those picture we can show exactly what's going on in their mouth and they can see it and they know why we're maybe treating and planning something. And at that point, once all of that's done, then I come in and do ... and at the final I get introduced, I want to know about you. I want to know who you are, what you do, where you grew up, something about you to where we're building that relationship with you. So that's ... and then once that's complete and we've come to an agreement on treatment, then that patient is taken back in and they sit down in a consultation room for any financial arrangements, any further questions and then they're pre-appointed for whatever they're next appointment and need is.
