The aspect of Same-Day Smiles that makes it so effective for dental treatment is found in the introduction of computer-aided technological advancements. This new technology is called CEREC® (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) and CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing). By using these new technologies, we can cut out many of the unpleasant aspects of dental work, including taking messy dental impressions.
Instead, we can render a three-dimensional impression of the inside of your mouth with our computer, giving us a superior view of your dental arches without needing to fill your mouth up with sticky, gummy material to cast the impression.
In the past, dental work often included temporary restorations. While these temporary restorations were useful in helping act as a cosmetic improvement over having no such restoration in place, it was admittedly quite obvious that the restoration was not as attractive as their later permanent counterpart.
Same-Day Smiles makes temporary restorations a thing of the past because we can fit you with your final, permanent restoration in the same day. We do not have to fuss with a third-party lab, because your restoration will be made in-house. We also will not need to be as invasive, as we do not need to constantly numb your mouth up to get the information that we need to properly fit you with your restoration.
